Here’s my second favorite Christmas song – from one of my long-time favorite singer-songwriter-guitarists, Chris Rea. (My blog’s tag line, “every day good luck comes in the strangest of ways,” is from one of his tunes.)

Joys of Christmas, Northern Style shows off Rea’s screamin’ slide guitar. And, it paints a portrait of a community struggling to find something to celebrate. But they do, and they will, and as he says: “So let’s drink to the likes of Jim before we all go insane, please don’t ask me why it’ll take too long to explain.”
