“Figbash on Etc” by Edward Gorey

Today (February 22) is Edward Gorey’s birthday. He died in 2000, but if he was alive, he’d turn 88 this year. As an artist, his illustrations depicted all kinds of dark, dangerous, delightfully silly people and places. This picture is one of his etchings, available for purchase here.

It’s called “Figbash on Etc.” Which is nonsense, isn’t it? That’s why it caught my eye – complete, beautiful, utter, gorgeous nonsense.
