Time Less

Inspired by the long and winding road known as Highway 14 that follows the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge from the Maryhill Musuem to Vancouver, WA, and this week’s Project Create.

The Columbia River Gorge in April.

You can’t tell time on this road.

Your clocks stop working.

Haven’t you noticed?

You can tell other things on this road: You can tell hawks, eagles, pine trees, rock faces, sage, poison oak. You can tell cows, sheep, goats. You can tell sky, water, wind, and mountain. Rain and clouds. Sun and moon.

You can’t tell time on this road. Haven’t you noticed? The road tells you.
